I agree Mississippi is like a 3rd world country in America. You go there and it looks like it had its glory days in 1858 if you get what I mean. Just poverty everywhere, run down buildings and low education, whites are poor too.

I think I read somwhere, their average IQ is like 87 or something.

Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas also seem to show up in those poor and broken down state lists. And yet they have such a salubrious climate compared to the north. Snow in Mississippi is an event, most winter days are at least mild, whereas the successful north is a frozen wasteland for 4 months of the year!
