Netflix-sponsored, 9-hour long documentary on Prince’s life by Ezra Edelman

This is a long article. For those who have studied Prince’s career, and puzzled about influences, I surmise it may not be revelatory. My cousin sent me a link to it and warned I might not like what I found there. Instead. I wasn’t floored by anything. I’d never heard the story of Hayward Baker locking Prince in his bedroom for 6 weeks. In 9 hours, there must be similar stories never before heard. Also, Questlove’s response to seeing the film shows the strong impact it can have on someone who has studied Prince in far greater depth than I.

I hope the film sees the light of day. It must be exhaustive and undoubtedly carefully, expertly handled. At the same time, bits and pieces of the experiences of Prince’s inner circle are out there already. His flaws aren’t going to be a surprise.

Edelman clearly has a mastery of the documentary genre for completing the picture. And yet, finally it can be nothing more, nor less, than one person’s effort to define another.

I heard about this documentary and I do not like what has been said!

The Prince fans since the 1980s are/were focused on the MUSIC then the MOVIES, CONCERTS, etc.
Prince's career was: An entertainer, musician, singer, composer, producer, actor. He was not a PRIEST.
He was a MAN - testosterone-influenced, assertive, dominant. If he was a female, then he would
have acted like a female- for some reason, some-people do not/can not comprehend that FACT!

There are many Prince documentaries that his fans have ALREADY SEEN as well! Thus,
Any new documentaries is not needed, to hear "MYTHS-Regurgitated" over and over,
and over, and over, and over, and over again MAKES NO S-E-N-S-E!!!
