I like the sister trio from the Netherlands: Let It Happen.
I also like Jeny Bsg from Paris. She often dances as a duo with Anae. Even though this video I'm posting isn't really typical, I'm posting it cuz it just caught me today. Mostly, they do a style of African dance , which I don't know the name of. I like how there's a group of dancers and they take turns doing a short routine. Each dancer has their own style, so that each time the music replays, you see something different and yet the same.
Do you have any favorites that you look for?

That was wonderful thank you for sharing. Everybody had such a great chemistry dancing together. I miss that.
I don't have any favorites I just watch videos and if what I see makes me happy and I see myself in them or see myself wanting to have as much fun as the people in the video are having, then that is a favorite thing of mine.

JENY and Anae - Fally Ipupa
Above link was broken... so
jeny bsg challenge bloque de fally ipupa clips officiel

Bloque is the name of the song. The artist is Fally Ipupa, from the Democratic Republic of Congo
Here's his wikipedia entry:

Here's a partial translation into English of the words to the song.
Bloque lyrics in English

The above link isn’t working, so here, another try:

Fally Ipupa - Bloque`(English Lyrics) [OCCY VID_WIZARD;5.14.24]

Being me, I came up with a political interpretation but, looking up the names (until I tired of doing it) l, the people are all footballers of African descent. I don’t know what it’s about, really.

It's kind of embarrassing liking skating so much but really I like only certain skaters and these two are electric and just keep getting better. This is a duplicate of the routine in the previous post but it's done by an innovative videographer who takes the viewer right into the experience to the point that you can hear the blades cutting into the ice. I love the setting, too, outdoors in the middle of Manhattan, NYC.

This year they have two new routines, one to James Brown. At first, I wasn't sure that the smooth, fluid nature of skating could capture the feel of soul / funk. But I've watched the routine several times and I like it better and better. These two skaters always pick fun music and take on the unexpected. The second one is to The Who.

And, here's the routine to Baba O'Riley by The Who, performed at Bryant Park in NYC and filmed by OnIcePerspectives, which makes everything better.

Also, filmed by OnIcePerspectives, the routine to James Brown:

Harold Nicholas 1944 - YouTube

Harold Nicholas [Wikipedia entry; on date 3.22.25]

The Nicholas Brothers’ Hollywood career began after movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn spotted them in a nightclub and cast them in Kid Millions(1934). The two became big film stars despite racial restrictions at the time prohibiting speaking parts and scenes with white co-stars. Their last film together was 1948's The Pirate, in which Gene Kelly danced with them, breaking the color barrier. Harold went on to work as a solo artist, moving to France and touring as a singer and dancer. He appeared in the French film L’Empire De La Nuit (1964).
It all felt like that era was truly in our past. Of course, not racism. We know that's a long term issue. . . But something so blatant as "prohibiting speaking parts and scenes with white co-stars." That sort of of thing had seemed a historical artifact. 20 January 2025 and what we've seen since show what 'making america great again' means to the don and his henchpeople. For example, read what I saw today:

This is from the NYTimes. An article titled

Trump Administration Dropped Policy Prohibiting Contractors From Having Segregated Facilities

Subtitle: "The provision had been in place since the civil rights era." [Dated 3.21.25. Byline: Erica L. Green]
The Trump administration has removed a longstanding directive from the civil rights era that explicitly prohibited federal contractors from allowing segregated facilities, the latest move to eradicate diversity, equity and inclusion policies from government operations that has drawn fierce rebuke.
. . . and
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 still bars discrimination, and segregated facilities, in the United States. But civil rights groups have feared that Mr. Trump’s war on D.E.I. programs has signaled the federal government’s willingness to retreat from enforcing it.
Do you think we'll see any Jim-Crowe-type moves? I don't. What's galling is maga's/t0000's/Heritage-Society's disregard for the fouler parts of our past, under the pretense that racism no longer exists and, if it does, it's against white people. That crappy logic is used as justification for these vile actions. Plus, it's throwing red meat to the base, so to speak. We know they revel in the idea of having a go at the libs/Dems/progressives.

I prefer to leave the dragging anchor of t0000 & co off in 'Politics & Religion'. However, having seen the article I cited above in the NYTimes on the same day as reading about the overt racism experienced by Harold Nicholas, I had to juxtapose the two.
