1985.01.04 Prince - Atlanta , The Omni (Habibi Version)🌟VIDEO🌟

Just for fun. . . what songs does Prince touch on in the intro to Free, ~ minute 27:00 [Actually, start at 24:40, if you want to hear Yankee Doodle]. I think I hear a measure or two of The Who and maybe a measure or two of Cat Stephens. . . but I am pretty poor at these things. And I can't place which songs. Little riffs just sound familiar and I can't quite place them. Maybe they're all Prince? What do you hear?

I've no idea, but that's an awesome rendition of Free, thanks for highlighting it.

"No Changes"(1987). Nice song. That track sounds like the songs on the
"Piano And A Microphone" Album(1980s). Maybe there will be a second
Piano and A Microphone album(with songs from the 1980s?), "Piano And
A Microphone II, 1980s tracks. And then three, four, etc?

I don’t know much about AI or non-AI methods to manipulate the track to bring out Prince’s vocals. I noticed a comment asking if this was done w AI and the channel owner referred that person to his description for the track. I thought I’d add it here:
“Taken from the Time's second album. Both the Time's first two studio albums were largely written, recorded and performed by Prince (with Morris Day adding lead vocals on top of Prince's backing vocals).Prince's backing vocals can be heard on most tracks, some more prominently that others. On this track, not only do we get him on chorus & chant duty, but he co-sings parts of the verses too. Unfortunately not all the verses, which is slightly frustrating and has led to this mix using parts from other verses to bridge the gaps to create a more complete song. This mix removes Morris' lead vocals and brings Prince's backing vocals to the fore, in an attempt to create a 'Prince vocal' mix of the song.If you don't squint too closely, it sortve works. And more importantly, it gives you another opportunity to remember how brilliant this song is. Also, just to add, you probably all know about the annoying glaring edit at the end of the track. So in this version, I've just smoothed it out a little so it's not as jarring as on the original Time album version.”
