This Friday, October 30th is the date I kick off Rock And Roll Radio With RodeoSchro! I'll be broadcasting here:
High Volume Music radio or download the High Volume Music Radio app available at any App Store and listen on your phone or other Bluetooth device.
The show will run from 4 PM - 6 PM Central Time. It'll be two hours of "Get your ass up off your seat!" rock and roll! Every single song is a fist-pumping, head-bobbing, feet-moving scorcher. And it's stuff that only a rock and roll veteran like me can dig up. There is no Spotify playlist or YouTube rabbit hole that can reproduce what we're going to play - trust me on that!
Here's a little taste of what's coming at you in Show #1:
"St. Jake" - The Del-Lords (our official Start-the-Show song and if you've never heard it, one listen will convince you there is no better song to start off a Rock and Roll Radio show!)
"Panama" - Van Halen
"I Got the Fire" - Montrose
"I Don't Wanna Go There" - Spanking Charlene
"Let's Go" - Prince's live version of The Cars' hit
"White Lies" - Jason and the Scorchers
That's 6 of the 30 songs on the playlist for Show #1. You'll also hear some Bruce Springsteen, Starz, Blue Oyster Cult, Moxy, Joan Jett and lots more just plain old kick-ass rock and roll.
Would you like to be on my Rock and Roll Radio Show? I'd be honored to have you cut a part of my drop, which is basically a collection of people introducing me and/or the show. All you have to say is something like, "This is XXXXXXX and you're listening to Rock and Roll Radio on High Volume Music Radio!" Or improvise - I'd love it! You could say, "This is XXXX and despite the fact that he paints his hair, RodeoSchro is blasting the rock from High Volume Music Radio - the Pride of Sunnyside!" I've bragged enough over the years that there's PLENTY of material, LOL.
The main things to say include; (1) your name (and you can use a screen name or nickname if you wish); (2) the name of the station, which is "High Volume Music Radio"; (3) High Volume's tag lines, which are "The Pride of Sunnyside!" (Sunnyside is a section of Houston) and/or "If it ain't High Volume, it ain't loud enough!"; and/or (4) anything else you want to say about me.
You can say as much of that - or as little of that - as you want. The drop will be played at least once per show, and probably twice. I would be absolutely honored to have you be a part if it!
You can send me an audio file through Facebook Messenger, or you can text it to me (PM me for the number), or you can email it to me at RodeoSchro@aol.com.
A little bit about High Volume Music Radio - It's the brainchild of my good buddy Anthony Frazier a/k/a Ant Boogie. You'll know this guy is cool when you learn I met him when we were both onstage singing "Play That Funky Music" with Prince. Ant Boogie is one of the finest human beings on this whole Earth. All he does is help people. His main business is providing food and shelter for homeless veterans. He also has a music venue called High Volume Music Live, which is a mini-Paisley Park and he uses it to foster up-and-coming artists. He's a giant Prince fan (his son is named after Prince), and his bands can funk it up with the best of them. Needless to say, High Volume Music Radio plays a LOT of Minneapolis Funk, as well as just about everything else. You can tune in almost any time of day or night and I promise you that you'll hear some of the best music on the planet. Plus, now you'll hear my Texas twang!
I hope you can tune in this Friday, and every Friday. I picked this time slot specifically to launch everyone into the weekend with a rock and roll smile on their face!
