Happy Friday to all! It's going to be a great day - Episode 196 of
ROCK AND ROLL RADIO hits the world!
I have to tell you - it's hard and I mean REALLY hard keeping up with all the great new music being put out. You probably get tired of me telling you that we're living in the Second Golden Age of Rock and Roll, but we are! If you grew up in that first golden age like I did, this Second Golden Age is so welcome and SO unexpected. But ain't life grand?!?
And if you're on the young side and were bummed out that "they don't make music like they did in '70's, I sure wish I'd been alive then" well guess what? You are! Open your ears and you'll find that there is more great classic rock being put out RIGHT NOW than there was in the '70's or '80's.
That's a big statement but I wouldn't say it if I couldn't back it up, and that's exactly what Episode 196 of
ROCK AND ROLL RADIO does!
Our fact-provers this show are The Southern River Band, Sons of Silver, Zegovia, The Karma Effect, the Sakis Dovolis Trio, Taming Sari and Kurt Deimer. Kurt's not only a rocker but an actor too and wait til you hear what movie he was in and what happened to his character. He'll be your new hero - I know he's mine!
Those are just the new bands on this show. We also have great new songs from established artists like Joe Bonamassa, Crossbone Skully, The Scarlet Rebels, The Wildhearts, Bad Touch, Enuff Z'Nuff and Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown. Tyler and his wife Rebecca Lovell are having their first child; the gender reveal party they held is one for the books and I'll tell you all about it!
I'll also tell you that this week - just like every week - we play an entire set from the Ladies That Rock. No one, and I really do mean NO ONE, can touch our Ladies That Rock catalog. Blasting the jams at us this show are Ginger and the Peppers, Ipecac, The Anti-Groupies, Femme Fatale, and VA ROCKS.
Your weekly jolt of good times drops today at 4 PM CDT. Grab it on the High Volume Music Radio app or if you're still tied to your desk, just head over to
www.highvolumemusicradio.com, open a window, and crank out that last bit of work to the best rock and roll in the WORLD.
See you there!
