Shameless Plug For My New Radio Show!

It's a new month but the rock and roll is always consistent on ROCK AND ROLL RADIO! Consistently what, you may ask. Let me tell you:

Consistently awesome! We continue to embrace the Second Golden Age of Classic Rock and let me tell those of you who might not get it. Remember the incredible music we grew up to in the '70's and '80's?

There are bands RIGHT NOW making the same kind of music - lots of bands, in fact! If you love classic rock - and if you want to feel like that teenager driving around in a Trans Am again - then you should tune into ROCK AND ROLL RADIO. Here's some of who you will be introduced to today:

Brand new, fantastic stuff from Drunk Mum, Ben Gorb, Preacher Stone, Avalanche and the Treatment. You don't recognize those names? Oh, you will recognize the type of music they play!

Joining them are bands you *may* have heard of: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam (with their only non-grunge/real rock song ever!), Head East, Jason and the Scorchers, and Prince (y'all know that guy, right?!?).

Topping it off is a Ladies That Rock set comprised of six-count-em-six songs this week. Why? Why not! The Ladies are raining new rock and roll on us and we're playing stuff from The Courettes, Orianthi, Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse and more!

Be cool and download the High Volume Music Radio app anywhere apps are available. Or go old school and log on to www.highvolumemusicradio.com. Either way, we drop live at 4 PM CST today and of course the show is available throughout next week. Then we do it all over again!

Today on ROCK AND ROLL RADIO - we've got you covered!

What does that mean? It means an entire show of cover songs. But not just any old covers - these are incredible re-workings of songs you won't believe, performed by some of the best bands around!

So, who gets covered? How about the Pointer Sisters, Prince, Billy Joe Royal, Hot Chocolate, Ricky Martin, Johnny Cash and AC/DC. Pretty eclectic group!

But who does the covering? Old friends like Montrose, the Del-Lords, Eric Ambel, Ryan Roxie, Kula Shaker and Bad Touch.

It's really something to hear! My neck still feels it from all the head-bopping I was doing as I put this show together. It is a PARTY.

The party drops at 4 PM CDT today and you can get your own head bopping on the High Volume Music Radio app. Or go old school and hit it at www.highvolumemusicradio.com. Either way, you're going to be shaking!

Nice selection @RodeoSchro i'll be sure to tune in :)

You know what happens when we have a week off, and then do a show full of incredible stuff we've already played? Of course you know - we get rained on with new rock and roll!

Today on ROCK AND ROLL RADIO, we are jammed packed with new stuff. And that's a lot harder to program than you might think - every song, every band has a cool backstory. There's a ton of information to squeeze in between the 25 new songs but we're going to do it!

Listen to us do it today - live - at 4 PM CDT. Join us through the High Volume Music Radio app; that way, you can listen live AND any time, all the time! (If you're old school, go to www.highvolumemusicradio.com!)

Good Friday to you - literally! It's Good Friday so we're doing our best to make it a Great Friday on ROCK AND ROLL RADIO! And you know what? I think we did!

Today we're featuring just the absolute best music we can find, coming from bands such as The Wildhearts, Van Halen, The Smashed Avocados, Tommy's RockTrip, Junkyard and the seagulls (yes, with a little "s"). Plus brand-new music from Sonny Jim, Skinny Knowledge and Ben Gorb.

Oh yeah - a whole pub rock set! There's much more to the story of "pub rock" than I knew but now we OWN pub rock! Come be an owner with us!

And join the Ladies That Rock, too because wow! Do we have some great stuff from them! Just wait until you hear The Wild Things, Thundermother, Hot Machine, She Said and The Infamous HER - and no, that's not H.E.R. but just wait until you hear "her"!

The episode drops at 4 PM CDT today. The best way to listen, of course, is to download the High Volume Music Radio app so you can listen any time, all the time. But you can still go to www.highvolumemusicradio.com and listen right off your machine. Either way, hope to see you there!

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but this is what we told the rest of the world about this week's episode of ROCK AND ROLL RADIO:

I've said many times that we're living in the Second Golden Age of Classic Rock. Having grown up during the First Golden Age of Classic Rock, I feel qualified to say that! But what makes it a true statement is all the INCREDIBLE rock and roll that's currently on the scene - and has been for 3 - 5 years or more!

This week I'm not going to list who we're playing. Instead, I'll issue you a challenge, or an invitation:

If you thought the rock and roll of your youth went away about the same time your youth did, give us a couple hours to show you that yes - you CAN rock out to new music just like you did back in the day.

I promise - there is more great rock and roll out there right now than there EVER was in the '70's - '80's. Tune into ROCK AND ROLL RADIO on High Volume Music Radio to hear it for yourself!

Today's episode broadcasts live at 4 PM CDT and appears on the app a little later tonight. Download the High Volume Music Radio app at any fine app store or go to www.highvolumemusicradio.com - either way, you'll be glad you did!

Done. 🤣

There's a technical difficulty with the company that provides the radio service for High Volume Music Radio and we aren't sure if it's going to be fixed in time for today's show. BUT - you can still access last week's show on the Podcasts menu. So if by some chance you did not have your world rocked last week then by all means do it today!

We'll drop the next show next Friday but I've already recorded it. And let me tell you - if you think last week's show was incredible (it was), just wait until you hear the next show!

Until then, keep on rocking!

Well, I told you that Episode 153 of ROCK AND ROLL RADIO is epic - and today you get to hear it for yourself!

I might sound like a broken record - no pun intended - but the amount of new and great classic rock and roll being put out is simply astounding. Let's close this line of thought with this: I am here to tell you that there are more great rock songs from the last ten years out there right now than there ever were in the 70's or 80's.

Amazing, right? Even more amazing is getting to listen to them on ROCK AND ROLL RADIO, and listen to them you will! You'll be hearing The Middlenight Men, Bad Touch, Anthony Gomes, The New Roses, Dixie Dragster and Devil City Angels. And that's just in the first two sets!

We've got some brand-new stuff from the Ladies That Rock. You didn't think the ladies wouldn't be a part of the new music, did you? Of course not! We've hot-off-the presses stuff from Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse, NOBRO, Femmes Voyous, and The Sweetheart of
ROCK AND ROLL RADIO, Lee Aaron!

The party drops live today at 4 PM CDT and you can listen the old-fashioned way at www.highvolumemusicradio.com or be a 21st century rocker and download the High Volume Music Radio app. Do it today - I'll give you a double-your-money-back guarantee that we'll cure any and all cases of Sticky-Ass-Itis!

The suspense was killing me. You see, on today's episode of ROCK AND ROLL RADIO, we play a song by The Milk Men, who were nominated for Best Band at the UK Blues Award. We recorded this show yesterday afternoon - which was yesterday evening in the UK - and I kept hitting "refresh" on The Milk Men and the UK Blues pages, hoping to break the news while playing the song. But I didn't find out the results until this morning, so - spoiler alert! I'll tell you how it ended at the end of this post!

Because for THIS post, we're talking Episode 154 of ROCK AND ROLL RADIO and it is a FIRECRACKER! Not only do we have the aforementioned The Milk Men, but we've got brand new incredible rock and roll from Goodbye June, The Karma Effect, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Junkyard Drive and Royal Republic.

They're joined by favorites from The Warner E. Hodges Band, CJ Wildheart, The Claws, Daxx & Roxanne, and Cody Canada and the Departed. Plus a whole lot more!

But the biggest part of the show - aside from The Milk Men suspense - might be The Ladies That Rock. All our Ladies That Rock sets are special, but this one? Extra special. I'll keep you in suspense about that too but it's time to tell you how The Milk Men did:

It was an honor just to be nominated!

Tune in live today at 4 PM CDT on www.highvolumemusicradio.com or listen any time, all the time on the High Volume Music Radio app. As far as we're concerned, ALL our acts are the bands of the year!

It goes on and on and on. What goes on and on and on? Why, the new classic rock that's literally raining down on us - and has been for a few years now!

I've said this before and I'll say it again - if you grew up on '70's and 80's rock and roll then you should be jumping for joy today. Why? Because there is more of that kind of classic rock being put out RIGHT NOW than there was back then!

Think I'm kidding? Then tune in to ROCK AND ROLL RADIO today and call my bluff! (Note: this is our 155th show. I'm not bluffing!)

We'll blast brand-new, awesome rock songs from the likes of The Treatment, the Scarlet Rebels, Ace Monroe, Bombay Black, the Georgia Thunderbolts, Stone Thieves and Rock City Machine Co. And yes - all these songs dropped in the last few days!

That's not all - our Ladies That Rock set features an entire set of new stuff. Well, four of them came out just now but one of them is from the 80's, is new to ROCK AND ROLL RADIO and I'll bet will be new to YOU. Here's a test - listen to the Ladies That Rock set and see if you can figure which is the song that's 35 years old. It'll be tough - great rock is timeless!

We go live today at 4 PM CDT. You can listen on the web at www.highvolumemusicradio.com or download the High Volume Music Radio app and listen any time, all the time. You'll be glad you did!

Sunday is Mother's Day so guess what ROCK AND ROLL RADIO is doing today?!?

Of course - a full show of the Ladies That Rock!

No one - and I mean NO ONE - has a catalog of female rockers that approaches ours. We've got more than 350 songs by 176 different bands. Yes - 176! (And there are more out there!)

Today we're spinning the 26 best Ladies That Rock songs we've got. You want to know how good those songs are? Listen!

The show drops live today at 4 PM CDT at www.highvolumemusicradio.com or if you're really hip, download the High Volume Music Radio app and listen any time, all the time!

Happy Ladies That Rock Day!
